Béjart Ballet
Lausanne
2002-2014 | Koninklijk Theater Carré | Amsterdam
Beginning in 2002, each visit of the Béjart Ballet transformed Koninklijk Theater Carré into a MTV-styled movie temple. Béjarts captivating and swinging masterpieces Ballet for Life, Bolero and Light were hugely popular with Dutch crowds, each time selling out instantly.
Béjarts masterpiece Ballet for Life is dedicated to 3 geniuses, who were taken from us too soon: singer Freddie Mercury (Queen), designer Gianni Versace and composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Bolero, probably Béjarts second most famous masterpiece, was musically accompanied by a gorgeous soundtrack by Maurice Ravel.
The third and final tribute to the immortal genius Béjart: Light. This program highlights Béjarts passion and love for Venice and San Francisco, as well as his connectedness with these beautiful cities.
